ENLIVENING OUR SPIRIT: THE GIFT OF SPONTANEITY
October 27-29, 2006
Friday, 9:30 a.m.to Sunday 4 p.m.
ANN HALE, M.A., TEP
Location: Ulster County, NY
J. L. Moreno based his approach to psychiatry on creativity, spontaneity and exploring the conserved behavior in society. This seminar will offer participants an opportunity to realize their level of spontaneity in ongoing and new relationships, to discover new potential in oneself and others for deeper connection. This workshop offers a view of sociometry which Ann Hale practices based on novel ways to explore the system of values we wish to "overcome and abandon" and those we "aspire to bring to fulfillment".(Moreno, Who Shall Survive?, pp. 16-17) We will engage in short sociometric exercises, psychodramatic enactments and be in the spontaneity state as much as possible.
Ann E. Hale, M.A., TEP studied with J.L. and Zerka Moreno, graduated from the Moreno Institute in 1974,and received the J. L. Moreno Lifetime Achievement award from ASGPP (2002) . Ann edited the student's edition of Who Shall Survive? (1995). She founded the Toronto Centre for Psychodrama and Sociometry, Playback Theater Northwest, and has recently established the International Sociometry Training Network. (www.sociometry.net ) She currently is revising her book Conducting Clinical Sociometric Explorations and the accompanying CD Rom of sociometric devices. Ann resides in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Roanoke, VA and teaches drawing and painting. Three times a year she co-leads Sociometry Intensives with Donna Little, MSW, TEP in various locations in the US and Canada.
