Australian fires

dear Anne thank you for your thought and care. I don't own the property at strath creek anymore but anyway that area is not in danger at the moment. 
This summer is going to be the worst ever. 
When you came over and visited in the early 80's we had just come out of a long drought and Ash wednesday had devastated Victoria. I remember the builders had to abandon my house as the Mount Disappointment fire raged north. Luckily our fire fighters prevailed.
I was remembering that time this morning as smoke that had been blown hundeds of kilometers west from the current fires, enveloped the balcony I was sitting out on. The northerlies are expected to blow tomoroow.
Melbourne was enveloped in smoke today.
I hope you are well and thanks again for the concern.
