Grouptalk Status - Alive and Running on a new server

Dear Tom & Group,
Good for you, my check, also is going in the mail.

This change-over has implications for some problems with the ASGPP governance
regarding
           1. effectiveness of their present website (I'd like some feedback. Am I
mistaken or does it seem that there is no updated discussion group and other ways to
actually reach people. I am unsure of how to get to the director since they have changed
codes. Has anyone else tried?
           2. The question of "transparency." How much do we have access to those on the
executive council, how much are they communicating with each other?

Finally, Tom, what will be your preferred email address were we to seek to communicate
with you?

Oh, no, that's not finally. Finally should be that we should communicate
the up-and-running as an announcement that I can also send to Dramatherapy listserve and
the IAGP-PD international listserve. How to join, and all that.

Anyway, hooray. I've suffered a bit about my concerns about what's happening in
our field in several ways, lately:
          1. the continuing diminution of our being recognized by one of the main
(American) psychiatric textbooks in its current edition--psychodrama being mentioned only
in passing... whereas it used to have a significant number of pages..
           2. the continuing struggle to get sufficient quality publications for the
journal (it's been like pulling teeth)
and the painful occasional questions I get from professionals in related fields,
basically asking, "where's the research?"
         3. this problem with the dissociation of grouptalk from asgpp.. "What could they
have been thinking??"

On the positive side, the method is growing gradually in a number of other countries,
more books are being written and published,
I've just had an article published in ReVision journal, and another
one coming up soon in the next issue of Journal of Creativity in Mental Health, and a
couple of others after that
              stuff like that...

I think Rebecca's idea of a paid ad in the PNN might be a good idea.

Also, might it be possible to have a "Links" section on the grouptalk
website and a link to my website? I continue to update announcements about international
news, new books, new photos for the photo directory, etc.
           Warmly, Adam
