Dear Grouptalk People,
     One of the more important functions in group dynamics is that of providing recognition, letting people feel that they are seen and heard. This is especially needed in groups in which people volunteer in various ways to help the group in its overall mission. This includes the general goals of psychodrama, sociometry, the promotion of group and inter-group activities, sociatry (helping to use psycho-social methods to promote healing in the wider culture), and so forth, as well as the more specific and diverse roles that support the organization itself. 
       Let's warm up to nominating those of us who clearly have been contributing to these goals. Consider who might merit an award at the 2007 annual ASGPP meeting in Brooklyn. 
       Soon the ASGPP will be sending out a more formal call for nominations in a few weeks to be back into ASGPP by August 30th so we can make recommendations to the council at their meeting in September. 
    Please pass this along to colleagues who aren't on grouptalk or who don't check their grouptalk email regularly.
