FYI...

See below. The AWP is using a blog to start discussion and marketing for
its next national conference. Cool marketing idea! Blogs are easy to
start and use. If you wish, you can see my blog, below.

Thanks for letting us know of the blog, Alicia. This sounds like a
great idea for publicizing the event, especially given how
computer-bound so many of us are.
Am I correct though, that a major difference with blogs is that they are
open for anyone to see, whereas the content of this list is
confidential/closed to members only?

	Hello everone!

You'll want to visit http://awpsf.blogspot.com/ to read the web
log (blog) that the 2007 AWP conference organizers have set up.

Its purpose is to help publicize the conference, and to start
the conversations now that will be at its core.

Already there's a budding conversation on the blog about the
intersections (or not) of feminism(s) and post-modern stances.

For those who've not used a blog before, its much like a
listserve but done on the web....so you can see the thread of
comments/conversation all at once, or any part of it.
To explore and use it, just go to the address, read the current
and/or previous postings and any comments on them, and then click "post
a response" when you want to join in the conversation!

Its also a great place to ask questions about the conference, or
to see details about it.

	Best wishes,
	Alicia

PS: apologies if you got this msg before. I sent it out several
weeks ago, but only recently got an error msg that it mysteriously never
made it out of my local system. so, I'm resending
