Dear Kate,
A little linguistic philosophy. Hw wll lnguge chg w nw blkbrry & cellphn txtmsg? Wll
we lose vowels, reverting back to the early semitic alphabets?
Part of our Greek heritage was the introduction of such vowels and specific letters
for those vowels, thus reducing ambiguity. Before that scribes who appreciated context and
had encountered the material before were needed, like highly trained specialists, to
read--and write. Wll the nw scribs be our teenagers who can decipher txt msg --akin to the
training of court stenographers?

Also How is a blackberry different from a cell phone re text messgs? Its hard
to lern th nw code.
Laughing at how the world evolves, your pal, tele, Adam
