If you like this idea, Linda (and others), it will be important that you tactfully talk it
up with members of the executive council at the forthcoming meeting, or people you
know--your natural sociometric network. I cannot do this myself. Folks need to take some
co-responsibility to talk about it, encourage it.
Some of you might even be willing to volunteer a bit of time, though I know most of
you are pretty busy.
Still, I don't want to just ask the exec committee to do more unless we
collectively are willing to help.
Does anyone have any connection with Shelley Alexander, who used to be involved both
with the awards, the American Board of Examiners (I think), and at St. Elizabeths
Hospital? I wonder if she has any past records in a box somewhere. Also, files (ideally,
digital) of the folks who have been editing the American Board's newsletter-- because they
also have biographical material. Anyone who used to manage the awards, or was on the
committee...
