Hi all,

I am forwarding the following with Adam Blatner's encouragement - I invite
you to read the discussion and respond with your thoughts, whatever they may
be...

 Hi Kim,
You may not want to brave the listserve, but personally I think this
should have been sent over the listserve. Your reactions will no doubt be
representative of many. Some like this "Let's all start getting all het up
about social concerns and those that aren't with us are scardey-cats"
excitement, but many others are more moderate in tone. The excited ones find
the moderates to be part of the problem, while the moderates find the
zealous to be counter-productive, methinks.

The fun of the listserve is that you really are free to be you and
ask for input. Interesting, though, how few people do speak up. Is it
reluctance to encounter the more zealous, or buck what they perceive to be a
norm when it is really just one or a few people's opinions?

If you want, you may send this along with your response and your
previous comments below right to the listserve. I think lots of folks should
hear a bit of mixing-it-up. You haven't been uncivil, only a bit indignant.
Some friction like that can be stimulating and even healing. Hm?

Indeed, your spirit intrigues me--- what are some of your current
roles and interests? Maybe I can help you network or stimulate you in these
pursuits.

Warmly, Adam

Ed's response:

no one is yelling, people are simply sharing
and yes, there is massive denial,
of which we are all part.

Denial about the collapse of the environment
in particular, and in particular as Americans,
and the collapse of the economic structure of this country.

For me, I am most interested in the work Moreno offered
about society. That's all I have to say. Best of luck to you
in your life and work.

Ed

P.S.
If you ever want to have an off-line back
channel exchange about why we are in denial,
in a kind-of-like complex PTSD society dilemma,
I would be happy to share that research in an
exchange.

But Ed is it your place to judge me??? or anyone else on this listserv?

You want to talk about denial, we can talk about denial, as I have none of
it, especially when it comes to what's happening in our world. I take
offense that you continue to make judgments about me without walking in MY
shoes first.

"Most people are hiding..." --- how do you know this? Do you know "most
people"??? I barely know you and you're making assumptions and judgments
without really asking - instead you get on this listserv and "yell" about
what I and the rest of the listserv "should" be doing - and that does not
inspire me to join your cause, I'd rather stick to the causes I'm already
fighting for, thanks very much (of which you have no knowledge about because
you don't know me).
