Dear Adam, Dario and others
OK I never wanted to be a writer but now I am being forced to write if I want to share the new model of Souldrama.
My simple explanation of spiritual capital would be is to tell you that every day we hold spiritual capital in our hands and exhange it….what do you see written on our money? Is it in money we trust?….. or in God we trust? Where do we put our trust today? Self-interest, short-term gain and isolantionist thinking? How come when we are reminded so often each day, we never see the message? Spiritual capital can be defined by what we believe in, what we aspire to, and what we take responsibility for. This holds true for each of and every one of our relationships, including our realtionship with God, love, creativity and money.
Have we ever asked ourselves how come In God we Trust is written on our money? If money is a means of exchange, perhaps we need change our perception of money and look at money simpky as a way that God says “thank you” each time it is exchanged..for work well performed with great spiritually intelligent leadership, underpinned by vision, purpose, meaning and values.
There are three types of capital (material, social and spiritual) represented by three types of intelligences (IQ or rational intelligence, EQ or emotional intelligence and SQ or spiritual intelligence).
Material Capital is - What I think -Rational Intelligence
Social Capital is- What I feel -Emotional Intelligence
Spiritual Capital is - What I am -Spiritual Intelligence
The mission now is introduce the concept of spiritual intelligence (SQ), and describe how it can be used to shift individuals and our culture from a state of acting from lower motivations (fear, greed, anger, and self-assertion) to one of acting from higher motivations (exploration, cooperation, power-within, mastery, and higher service).
Spiritual capital offers the concept of transformation where as social capital is more stationary.
When we can access this stage of spiritual intelligence we are able to believe in ourselves, our purpose and be vision and value led, acting from beliefs, principles and self love.
Love is an experience and often we have peak experience in our lives where we have altered staes of consciousness or places of transcendence here one feels one or in awe with the universe. (Rowan, 2007). The same appies for self-love. In souldrma we try totake these peak experiences further. We can use these experiences to help a person define their higher purpose and help them to remember that love is a state of Being and not Doing as opposed to the roles they played to “get love”. When these moments are transformed into their higher purpose, they can't buthelp to act from self-love. Money truly becomes God's way to say "Thank You" for sharing our higher purpose and therfore creating spiritual capital.
The twelve necessary components Zohar (leader to leader) recognizes for spiritually intelligent leadership are woven into the stages of Souldrama. While they overlap into each stage of development, they serve a primary function in each stage.
Self-Awareness:Knowing what I believe in and value, and what deeply motivates me. Spontaneity:Living in and being responsive to the moment.Being Vision- and Value-Led:Acting from principles and deep beliefs, and living accordingly.Holism: Seeing larger patterns, relationships, and connections; having a sense of belonging. Compassion: Having the quality of "feeling-with" and deep empathy 6.Celebration of Diversity: Valuing other people for their differences, not despite them.
7.Field Independence: Standing against the crowd and having one's own convictions.
Humility: Having the sense of being a player in a larger drama, of one's true place in the world. Tendency to Ask Fundamental "Why?”Questions: Needing to understand things and get to the bottom of them.10.Ability to Reframe: Standing back from a situation or problem and seeing the bigger picture; seeing problems in a wider context.
11.Positive Use of Adversity: Learning and growing from mistakes, setbacks, and suffering.
12.Sense of Vocation:Feeling called upon to serve, to give something back.
If we want to change systems, we have to change human behavior. Human behavior is not so easily changed. To achieve real transformation, we have to change the motivations that drive behavior. That is the prime responsibility of a visionary leader.Humans in general prefer constancy and status quo to instability and change, and therefore when change inevitably comes the there is resistanceto avoid the transition between the status quo and whatever comes next. The avoidance can come in the form of indecision, ambivalence, and procrastination. It can come in the form of impulsive jumping headfirst. In either case the underlying fear driving the avoidance is of unpredictability, disorder, and confusion: chaos. How do we consciously make a doorway for transformation ‘to a higher level possible self, a selfactualized self, or a transpersonal self? Souldrama is simply one of the many techniques to access our SQ but one offers a circular structure to access the transpersonal self and move past resistance using psychodrama as one of therapeutic modalitites.
We heal others because of who we are and not what we do.
Blessings Connie

We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift”. Einstein
