  Should I assume that Mirasol is the supervising company for your Four Winds Hospital? It doesn't say where this work is!  Upstate new york? Or elsewhere?

    Behavioral Health Therapist

    Description
    Duties and Responsibilities: Under the general supervision of the Clinical Director and/or Primary Therapist, performs clinical work of moderate difficulty in the determination, direction, coordination and facilitation of the treatment plans for clients, from admission to discharge; Performs other duties as may be assigned, which may include gardening. 

    Essential Functions: The Therapist provides individual and family therapy for clients; provides case management coordination for all aspects of the team and family treatment; eats meals with the clients for the purpose of fostering connection with the clients, and assessing the Client's treatment in an interactive environment; facilitates group meetings with clients; documents client progress in charts as appropriate and in accordance with behavioral health requirements; attends and/or leads staff and team discussions; attends meetings as required; may communicate with insurance companies and case management regarding client's progress. 

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 
    Considerable knowledge of: 
    - HIPAA regulations as they apply to confidentiality and the protection of confidential information; 
    - Mirasol philosophy on the treatment of persons with eating disorders; 
    - physical, mental, and emotional disabilities; 
    - Programs, policies and administrative guidelines; 
    - Behavioral health functions, policies and procedures; 
    - Medical terminology and basic health care. 

    Working knowledge of: 
    - Clinical scheduling procedures; 
    - Business management including the ability to interpret and analyze technical data. 

    Considerable skills in: 
    - Working with the public, including resolving conflicts with clients and/or family members. 

    Working skills in: 
    - presenting information both orally and in writing; 
    - the assessment and treatment of client/family dynamics; 
    - building relationships with clients. 

    Ability to: 
    - Plan and organize work; 
    - Analyze client's strength and resistance; 
    - Form trust with clients; 
    - Respond to different client group needs; 
    - And willingness to try different approaches in different locations; 
    - Problem solve family dynamics and identify issues for treatment; 
    - Analyze and present data in a variety of formats; 
    - Adjust to fluctuating assignments and workloads; 
    - React calmly to emergency situations; 
    - Work independently; 
    - Operate computerized programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet, etc.); 
    - Interpret and apply Mirasol policies and procedures; 
    - Prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment; 
    - Accept responsibility and make decisions; 
    - Work and deal effectively with individuals and/or groups of people; 
    - Write logically-sequenced reports; 
    - Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing; 
    - Sit and/or stand for extended periods of time; 
    - Maintain appropriate boundaries with Clients. 

    Requirements
    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED; Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Psychology is required; licensure by the Arizona State Board of Behavioral Health Examiners is required; must be a licensed professional counselor or have the ability to attain license within three (3) months of employment; EMDR certification or practiced in the skills of psychodrama preferred; Professional work experience with eating disorders preferred; OR, any combination of academic education, professional training or work experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. 

    REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION/CERTIFICATION: A current Fingerprint Clearance Card and CPR/First Aid certification is required; a copy of all diplomas/certifications and licensure is required; a current Mantoux Skin test (TB) is also required.
