Dear Colleagues, Ms. Carla Dumaresq carla at summerstreet.ns.ca writes I work with individuals who are intellectually and /or developmentally delayed. I am gathering information to create an empathy workshop. I have read some of your paper on the subject. Do you know of any specific information that I can access that deals with the population of which I have mentioned. Thank you

adam: I told her about Tomasulo's & Razza's books, and mentioned that some folks might be offering workshops aimed at teaching role training. Maybe telling her about the Brooklyn conference?

Ms D also wrote: I am interested in using "Frierian Games" to generate discussion are you familiar with this approach? It employs the use of pictures to create discussion. Paolo Friere ( Pedagogy of the Oppressed) used pictorials to teach literacy skills, I am hoping that these pictures will stimulate conversations around why individuals treat each other with such disrespect. Then perhaps we learn how to be more empathetic with each other

So I'm passing her request along. Warmly, adam blatner
