Gong Shu also has a lot of experience dealing with this and she regularly appears to use the mirror technique a lot and then has the protagonist take charge of getting rid of the perpetrator in some appropriate manner and even has a special way of assisting the protagonist in getting rid of the physiological manifestations of the trauma.. I think this is essential to at least begin using the mirror technique rather than placing the PTSD sufferer back into the action which can be overwhelming. I don't even like a progressive imersion process which was the basis for much of Volpe's work previous to his encorporating Francine Shapiro's EMDR approach.
