Dear Ann--I deeply appreciate your calling our attention to this. If I had experiences with Clare as Manuela and Connie had I think I would have shared them too, entirely forgetting the confidentiality aspect. Thank you for reminding us. Patti

Subject: a response to a grieving community

I understand Connie and Manuela's descriptions of being at Boughton Place in January and with Clare Danielsson as a desire to reassure a grieving community that Clare was actively appreciated by many and had moments of being surrounded by a loving community. I am however disturbed by the description of what for me would be private moments and ones which I would like to have held in confidence. Confidentiality is held as a high value in our community and death of a person does not waive the right to privacy.

I apologize if this sounds like a lecture. I do not mean it to be nor to detract from a positive desire given by Connie and Manuela to share an important moment of theirs with Clare. The fact of a person having a treatment, the experience of the reiki person and the ceremony details cause in me an alarm. Confidentiality can be breached for the best of intentions.
