The professional training, "Addiction, Action and Change: Using
Experiential Methods with Addiction Treatment," is planned for March 10
and 11 at Lake House Health & Learning Center, Racine, Wis., with guest
presenter Arlene Story, MS, TEP, coming from Fort Wayne, Ind., and
assisted by myself. Continuing education credits for social workers,
addictions counselors and professional counselors; psychodrama credits
also provided.

Hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
It is suitable for professionals and advanced students who wish to learn
how to apply innovative action and group methods to addiction treatment
-- including alcohol, drugs, sex, gambling and the like.

We promise you a great training, healthy snacks, lots of handouts and,
of course, CEUs, with an exceptional trainer who has successfully worked
for many years with addicted people in all stages of recovery, including
homeless addicts -- one of the most challenging populations, in my
opinion, due to their lack of familiar supports. Most recently, she has
received a new certification -- as a sex addiction therapist.

Tuition is $225, which includes snacks, all materials and the CEUs; A
group rate of $210 is available to those to send in three or more checks
together in the same envelope, and there are a limited number of partial
scholarships for students. As always, there's also the option of doing
some personal work.

Call or reply to this email for info or to register before March 6.
Please let us know if you will need information on directions or lodging
or see the attached flyer and registration form and/or
www.lakehousecenter.com for more information.

This program was originally scheduled in early December 2006 but was
postponed due to our big blizzard. We hope you can make it and will
share this information with interested colleagues, friends and
coworkers.

Read a few evaluations for our recent eating disorders training on:

"I received affirmation, but also some concrete methods and actions to
use with my clients."

"Information for myself. Information for my profession."

"I have a direction for working with others and personal direction as
well. I am aware of the three phases of psychodrama and how important
each phase leads to the next."

"Always giving participants choice and respect throughout the workshop."

"Self evaluation and acceptance."

"The flexibility of techniques and ideas on how to generalize to
addiction, depression, anxiety, etc."
