Dear Andrew et al.,

I would like to present the following workshop in your conference on
diversity. I have presented psychodrama workshops in many conferences
both locally and abroad. If possible, I would like to present this a
double workshop (three hours). If not, I will adjust it to your 90
minute time-frame. I am sending this email as an attachment as well.
Thanks,
Jacob Gershoni

Title:

Systemic and Psychodramatic Explorations of Families with Gay and
Lesbian Persons.

Presenter:

Jacob Gershoni, LCSW, TEP

Jacob Gershoni, ACSW, TEP, is a psychodramatist in Private practice in
New York and editor of "Psychodrama in the 21^st Century: Clinical and
Educational Applications" (Springer Publishing Co. 2003)

Abstract://

In a political/cultural climate of hostility and intolerance toward LGBT
persons the effects on them and their families can be destructive,
ranging from poor self esteem, to hiding, depression and suicide risks.
What can drama therapists and mental health professionals offer in such
situations? In this workshop we will explore issues and conflicts in
small and larger systems and examine psychodramatic tools in dealing
with them.

Description:

This workshop will demonstrate the three phases of psychodrama,
including a sociometric warm-up, action and closure/sharing. Session is
open to all who have personal/professional interest in this topic.

Sincerely,

Jacob Gershoni, L.C.S.W., T.E.P
