  Dear Grouptalker,

  As I am preparing for the trip to the international conference in Sozhou, China I am seeking information about a visa. Does anyone know if a visa is needed for holders of US passport? I tried calling the Chinese consulate in New York but nobody picked up the phone. Since I also have an Israeli passport I attempted calling the local Israeli consulate but after being directed from one voicemail to another I gave up, thinking that in the unlikely event that a live person answer they would refer me to the Chinese consulate. Next, I thought, a plea to Grouptalk might yield a definitive answer. I appreciate hearing from anyone on this.
