I'm looking at developing a programme to assist Pacific Island migrant
communities in New Zealand reduce high risk drinking behaviour and the
deaths and injuries that result.
Among other things I want to use sociodrama and other action methods to
explore the social and cultural forces that promote such behaviour and have
people engage in reflection about their cultural values that do lead to a
healthier life.
One thing the funding agency have asked for is any evidence or research that
reports on this kind of work or anything at all about the effectiveness of
action methods or sociodrama in community change.
I am keen to hear from grouptalk members any other reflections on this work.
Thanks
John
