Dear Connie,
I've noticed that you are coming to Victoria, Australia next
February. What a great thing that takes you around the world doing
what you love so much. I've noticed the many times you have posted
about your enjoyment with the way you have applied the method and the
outcomes your participants are achieving.
In Australian, as you may know, we have for many years been
developing a collaborative system for our Psychodrama Training
Institutes and our local practitioners. This is quite different I
think from the free market type of process that takes place in parts
of the USA and elsewhere.
If your programs are predominantly experiential then please
coordinate with a well connected, local Australian and New Zealand
Psychodrama Association (Victoria) group. The Victoria ANPZA
President is Phil Corbett and he can be contacted at <mailto:>
ptcorbett at hotmail.com . ANZPA Vic is very active and their main
program for 2008 is the Australian and New Zealand conference on
<http://www.anzpa.org/>http://www.anzpa.org/. Even if you already
have a local contingent of people that fills your workshop ANZPA Vic
will appreciate your courtesy and thoughtfulness in contacting them.
And if you are planning to offer training in the psychodrama method,
please link with the local institutes which can be found at:
and
<http://www.anzpa.org/anzpatilinks.html#mcp>http://www.anzpa.org/anzpatilinks.html#mcp
The purpose of this type of collaboration is to try to create a
comprehensive process for trainees and to maximise the availability
of programs for participants and participants for programs. However
your program doesn't look like training. It does look very attractive though!
Of course if you get to Australia early then please consider coming
along to our local conference. It is open to you and other colleagues
from around the world and you will get a real flavour of how Morenian
methods are undertaken, practiced and taught in Australia and New
Zealand. Each year we usually have a few participants from overseas
who come and join in and have a great time. Your current ASGPP
President, Nick Wolf has come at least once that I know of. Elaine
Scharnoff came this year to New Zealand and really enjoyed herself.
I hope your year unfolds well and your programs blossom.
