I would like to find a top flight social worker or psychotherapist in
the Los Angeles area who is a good public presenter for a possible large
introductory program on drama therapy (does psychodrama mean the same
thing or is it an aspect of drama therapy?). I direct UCLArts and
Healing which aims to facilitate the use of the arts as a tool for
healing in the community. Our programs are mostly experiential, with
live demonstrations (using audience members when possible).

I would also like to find someone (can be a different person) who
uniquely integrates movement into their drama therapy work as well.

Thank you.

Kristi,

How wonderful that the University of Michigan School of Social Work is
interested in drama therapy and willing to introduce it to its SW
students. I hope that you will also say some good words about
psychodrama as well, which is older and more established than drama
therapy while also being a very valuable kind of "cousin" to the DT
modality.

I am a LCSW in Wisconsin (just across Lake Michigan) and would be glad
to serve as a resource for you and your school in any way. There are
many social workers using psychodrama regularly in our practices and
daily work as psychotherapists, trainers, group leaders and the like.
