Concerning Daggis

As Daggis's Lover, Partner, Colleague, Friend and sometime Enemy for the
past 28 years I want to set the story straight before the speculation and
gossip begins.
The past months have been extremely difficult for us. First I was in the
hospital in Riga, Latvia with pneumonia and sepsis and not expected to
live -Daggis and the help of good friends brought me back. Then, at the
beginning of April Daggis and I went to the hospital for what was to be a
routine heart check for him. Things were handled very badly and a pneumonia
he had gotten in the winter, and then heart problems, and lastly also a
sepsis kept Daggis and me fighting for his life until yesterday.

Daggis passed away in my arms yesterday morning. I held him in my arms for
the last hours as close as I could. He just could not fight anymore. Daggis
was 58.

Not many of you here knew Daggis well, many more knew him from conferences
and almost everyone in our movement knew Daggis through reputation. His
reputation really proceeded him where ever he went, mostly of course in
Europe where we live but also on every other psychodrama continent. Daggis
was a true Psychodramatist. He was a student of J.L.'s at the end of his
life, BUT he always said his real teacher was Zerka. She was his mentor and
inspiration. Those of you fortunate enough to have seen Daggis in action on
the stage were privy to something special-not to everyone's likening but
very special at the same time. He was, and this is my biased and
professional opinion, a Psychodramatic Genius.

Daggis was extreme. I loved him more than I will ever love anyone AND at
times I hated him more than anyone. Maybe that is a typical relationship but
we were and still are connected at the hip. I miss him so much and I know
that he will long be remembered by those who knew him.

For those of you who knew Daggis well and wish to pay respects or those of
you who know me and wish to do the same are welcome to either call: 0049
(0)179 5 33 11 63 -from the States dial first: 01149 not 0049. or you can
send an e-mail to me personally at: tread at ish.de

No matter what-He was my man!
