Here is a small passage that speaks to some of the subtleties of tele and unconscious 
imitation of the sociometric (?) star? From:  Edward T. Hall, Beyond Culture, Anchor 
Books, New York, 1976, chapter 5, "Rhythm and Body Movement," pp. 76-7. :
   Wm Parks in Germany sent it and says, "As for the passage in Beyond Culture, my 
referring to the one child as
> "leader" is somewhat misleading. Hall is talking about "sychronous movement" and as 
> something we are not completely aware of (Watzlawick talks about "out of awareness").
