related fields

Dear Dale, thank you for taking the time to lay out the details on the related fields 
question in the Board of Examiners' tests. It was a generous and thoughtful effort.
      I for one hope that this test does remain among those included in the exam---I agree 
that it is useful.

   Your noting that people can, in advance, ask to include a specific related field and 
can create a rational argument for this request fits my thinking that the explanation is 
part of the process. !  That might be the solution.

      I like your listing of criteria, but might argue that several things presently 
included on the list might not fit all those criteria.
