Dear Ed and all
When i 1st decided to move beyond classical psychodrama to create TSM, a native medicine woman, Yago, walked with us for the creation of TSM at my then psychodram theatre in black earth, wi. A long ago protected sites for native amreicans. All of our tsm workshops there had spiritfires, sweat lodges and other native rituals. It is a perfect fit for nativea at home as well as connects w aborihinal folks everywhere in the world.
During TSM personal growth workshops in china, i have been allowing myself to take the role of shaman i learned from 10yrs of stufy w mohawk medicine woman as part of tsm develpoment. When i do prayers to the 6 directions, the chinese immediately know what i mean and can expand on the native teachings i give. My use of sage and smudge is again normal and fits rihgt into traditional chinese medicine.
I gave developed a hands on spiritual Spiral healing where we bring down the spiral energy documented at quantum physic level and it is quite profound.
I just finished a tsm personal growth in xiamen, southern china....pronounced shman...and fully embraced that role. The healing was amazing.
We are negotiating a partnership there w local psych consulting business to open 1st tsm clinic in chuna next year. Very exciting though i imagine it will mean even more than the 8 months i spent working here this year! I am consciously dedicating the next 5 to 10 yrs of tsm to china and will continue to let all of you know how it goes.
TSI, my training institute is opening center in shanghai, beijing and other chinese cities (5 in all) and am inviting other psychodramtists to work throuhg our institute next year and beyond....so you DONT have 2 learn the hard way as i have for last 9 years!!!!!
Thanks to the folks who have written me about wanting to work in china and i look forward to hearing from more of you.
I am also doing a blog about my work in chuna you can sign up to receive by going on the homepage of our website at www.therapeuticspiral.org. And signing ip for the listserve.

Subject: From A Psychodrama Student
Here is something written (and pretty amazing for me) from a student
who wants to consider bringing psychodrama back to her home, her
people, on a reservation:
“The warrior within you walks with a deep knowledge and strength that
you can call upon to help the people….fighting the curiosity or even
ignorance of others will only create a tension that may be more
difficult to hold….you often share with others because the Lakota/
Dakota life ways are profoundly beautiful and can help shape this
world for the better."
