writing up papers

Hi Adam& All, The Journal you just mentioned, The Journal of Creativity in Mental Health, just accepted an article I wrote, Souldrama:Spirituality in Action. Of course, I speak about pscyhodrama as the tool necessary to do Souldrama.
This Journal has been very receptive to articles however they do require them to be written in APA standard form. Personally I have submitted articles for our journal and although one was accepted with many re writes in 2000 ( I know I could use that class), it has been difficult to have an article accpted by our journal. I wonder if our new journal that will be formed should be more open to other creative arts . Connie

This is NOT a nudge, but a more general answer to the listserve.
1. It's a good question, as the readership depends on the journal to which the paper
is being submitted.

If it's the Journal of Creativity in Mental Health--- an adjunct to the American
Counseling Association, then imagine it being to therapists who don't know much about
psychodrama. They may or may not have read my paper a year ago or so about Moreno. It's a
journal that's receptive to action methods and other approaches to creativity, but the
readership may not be into drama per se.

If it's the journal, The Arts in Psychotherapy, then it's to creative arts therapists
who may know little about drama per se.

For the JGPPS or whatever our ASGPP-affiliated journal will become or be renamed,
assume the reader knows something about psychodrama---the equivalent of an introductory
article.

For other psychodrama, journals, assume they know nothing about psychodrama.

Does that help? What do others think?

Warmly, Adam
