Just last Sept. 7, we explored just a few of the many ways to integrate
action methods into talk psychotherapy and other talk-type settings,
such as lectures, presentations, coaching and the like. Participants had
the opportunity to observe and practice powerful role play techniques,
including role reversal, doubling, soliloquy and mirroring and identify
how they may be able to brainstorm and integrate the best options into
their work with addiction treatment, domestic violence education and
counseling, in-home treatment and work with individuals, families and
groups.

Sept. 14

The Power Of Images

Here's the story: the left side of our brain loves words; the right side
loves images. In this sampler workshop, we show you how to use all kinds
of images in a productive way. We'll take a quick flyover of ways of
using picture cards, Tarot cards, collages and other images to encourage
change and growth. Whether you are a psychotherapist, teacher, coach or
artist, this workshop will offer many new ideas to integrate into your
work. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, with five continuing education and
psychodrama hours. Tuition is $45 to this special introductory sampler
program; bring a new friend for free! Tea, coffee and spring water will
be provided. Please bring your own lunch; preregistration is required.

This class is instructed by Karen Carnabucci, MSS, LCSW, TEP, nationally
board certified master trainer in psychodrama, sociometry and group
psychotherapy who has been working with experiential methods since 1989.
These samplers are an opportunity for interested professionals to learn
more about psychodrama and action methods and how they can be useful in
various settings for health, wellness, education, community building and
leadership training. Professionals who will find these programs useful
will include: psychotherapists, physicians, nurses, educators, group
leaders, addictions counselors, creative arts therapists, focus group
facilitators, clergy, trainers, coaches, consultants, attorneys and
others.
