British Psychodrama Association


Evidence Based Practice Day

To be held in London on November 24th 2007 

Following the success of the joint conference held in March, we are organising a second day.

Psychodramatists and Dramatherapists are invited to submit abstracts for papers and workshops.

Information 

We welcome abstract submissions for 30 minute/ 60 minute/ 90 minute presentations or workshops.

Submissions should address the following issues or questions: 

  a.. The methods used in assessment and evaluation phases; 
  b.. Did the evaluation demonstrate how, as well as whether, the interventions achieved the goals set by the client(s) and / or the therapist(s)?   
  c.. Were any research methodologies and/or audit methods employed? 
Formatting

Abstracts should be no more than 300 words (excluding references/bibliography). Please do not send any images or other material with your abstract.

Submitting an abstract electronically

Abstracts should be submitted via email with the abstract file attached (Microsoft Word only). 

The abstract should contact the following information:

  a.. Abstract title 
  b.. Author's name, job title and any affiliation 
  c.. Author's post address, e-mail address and phone number 
  d.. Equipment required, if any, for the presentation 
  e.. The proposed length of the presentation and whether a paper or a workshop; 
  f.. A declaration that all necessary consent has been obtained; 
  g.. A short bibliography of the presenter (100 words maximum) 
In the case of joint authorship, one author should submit the abstract and include additional information for all authors.

Deadline 

The deadline for submissions is 30th September 2007.

Conditions 

Presenters will be offered a free place at the conference and a fee of £50. Travel will be paid at the cheapest rail fare price. Accommodation cannot be paid.
