> What a great discussion about re-visioning sociometry.
The point here for me is that sociometry as we know it, and practice
it, is a small section of the larger
world view for the humanity Dr. Moreno was thinking about. As we go
forward with our work here,
researching published and unpublished material by Moreno, I am struck
with the potential for a larger application of sociometry, to
the global family as one group, looking at large sociometric
structures, like the sociodynamic effect affecting all of humanity and
all sentient beings. The latest edition of National Geographic, a
special on Climate Change, gives a clear view of how
these forces of human society are playing out. These are the forces
the quotes noted below speak to in my view.
This is a pioneering effort we are engaged in here, bringing
sociometry to sociatry. It is uncharted, although we have a few dozen
road maps. These road maps, all written by Moreno, point us to
things: formulas and codes for sociatry. Some of these formulas and
codes
are math based and luckily we are having an grad intern starting with
us in the fall who is a math skilled mind. The formulas and codes seem
to suggest either new sociometric tools or new ways to apply the
action structures of sociometry, sociodrama, axiodrama, psychodrama.
All this will be coming with me to Granada Spain where I will be
addressing this with the Academy in May. There is much to report as we
go along in addressing the global opportunity for renewal.
Much thanks for all this,
Ed
