(Responding to Zerka's comment about being identified as "Race?" "Human")
Just to be a bit provocative, what if (as in my case) we are not even fully identified with our species?
I fantasize as an alter ego that I am part elf. This means that I am at least 21.4% not embedded in ordinary space-time that most humans consider to be "reality." I partake of other realities.
(I didn't know about my higher reality identity until about 15 years ago...)
My mission, it was revealed to me, was to bring playfulness and imaginativeness to the human species in which I have a preponderance of my roots. My, they need it! (Nor is it surprising that I would find connectedness in the sub-field of Moreno's contributions.)
So, with this "lightening-up" streak, I continue to pursue with some seriousness the challenge of promoting these valuable Morenean tools--- but not with too much seriousness.
It also occurred to me that what if everyone, as they reach the pre-birth phase when the soul constellates, that we all were the product not of a single essence or pre-birth incarnation, past life, etc., but rather of quite a number? Maybe there are shamanic totem animals, 3%, more distant direct ancestors 6%, signifcant common-interest past-life 9%, relatives/others with whom we have unfinished business (e.g., we were our mother's sister or father in a past life, that kind of stuff) 4%, angels, 8%, imps (not real devils, but naughty system-provoking spirits) 2%, faerie or elf or leprechaun or other spirte, 11%, maybe an "alien" from another planetary species (which would account for some of our weirdosity) 5%, and so forth? And all these types of elements (not just one each) get shuffled together like a deck of cards, anew for each individual? What if, huh?
Well, how is that all that much more silly than (1) no past life---which leads us to wonder where we came from, and do we as individuals then add to the growing bulk of immortals (either in heaven or hell)? (2) one past life--- which also has problems, such as whether we have been promoted or demoted, and if we don't know, what's the point of karma?... and alternative theories..
Alternative theories are fun. When I grew up, there was just one theory. Well, two---the scientific, which left a lot of the personal drama out; and the standard Western religious children's story, which raised a lot of questions for kids once they started thinking about things.
Now there are many worldviews and worse, I've begun to make up new ones just for fun. Yow!
Well, if Moreno's spirit of creativity catches you up, what metaphysical theories might you make up in response?
Ah, identity. Warmly, Adam
