Please try to get this to all psychodramatists in the Mid-Atlantic (and especially
Washington DC) areas:
"Hill Day" is a national event sponsored by the National Coalition of Creative Arts
Therapies Associations (NCCAT) as part of Creative Arts Week (March 9 - 15). In addition
to drama therapists' attending---and, I hope, psychodramatists---, other therapists
including art, music, poetry, and dance therapists will be representing their respective
associations to help educate members of congress and their staff on the benefits of the
creative
arts therapies and our presence nationally.

Hill Day is scheduled for Thursday, March 13, 2008 from 8:30 - 5:30pm.

This one day event is divided into two parts: 1. Education Sessions (briefings) for
Congress will feature a panel with presentations by the Presidents of the CAT's
Associations. The panel will focus on Autism and Post Traumatic Stress Disorders.
 2. Hill visits will be made to specific congressional offices with prepared speaking
points about relevant issues to creative arts therapists and Congress.
We are encouraging everybody who lives in and around the DC area, or those who are
interested in being a part of this significant educational/advocacy effort, to attend this
event. CATs, professionals, consumers and their
families, educators and students are also encouraged to attend.
