Thank you Kim. Does anyone know how to get a copy of this as the webcast seems to only be the first segment? Also, does anyone know what psychodramatist is working at Renfrew in Philly?

Subject: Psychodrama on "20/20"
Hi all,
Did anyone else see the story on "20/20" last night on ABC about the woman in her 40's suffering from an eating disorder?
They had done a brief mention about it on Good Morning America, where they mentioned that "role-playing" helped her.
In the story, they went into more detail, including treatment she received for 2 months at the Renfrew Center in Philadelphia.
I did a little "cheer" from the sofa as they showed her in a group session with the therapist doing psychodrama! The narrator even used the term "psychodrama" to describe the session. They then showed how she had someone "be" her disorder, and the therapist directed the disorder to put her hands on her shoulders and lean over her so that she could physically feel the burden. The protagonist ended up releasing her feelings and basically told her disorder to shove off, yelling at her to get away from her. Then the therapist directed the other auxiliaries to form a human wall with her to "push through" and move on, out of the scene.
The psychodrama piece was brief, but very cool. And the best thing about it was that it was presented in such a way that it was that particular session that made a difference and helped the protagonist to take some big steps in taking care of herself and heal.
Here's what I found on the Renfrew page about it:
