Hi Kate, and thanks for all the good you're doing in the world!
Your email is so rich! A few comments:
1. St Elizabeths' hospital ... David Swink, Kerry Atlman and Barry Spodak who are no
longer active in the ASgPp world. However, they are some of the most financially
successful psychodramatists there are. Like me they have taken psychodrama outside of
what I often feel is a closed community and brought it to the world.
ab: Kerry has just made some re-connection re his recently published book on
the way our emotions can be "messengers." .. but it's sad about David and Barry. Has
anyone talked with them and gotten a clear message? We could use the feedback and what is
it then that ASGPP needs to do to regain the allegiance and offer more service to some of
our colleagues. Swink & Spodak are offering services of role training and simulations and
related methods to organizations, some in the government. This is great work and what I
was advocating at my plenary presentation this last April in San Antonio.
2. KH ... a dozen countries in the past 25 years, including australia, new zealand,
canada. England northern ireland, turkey, israel, south korea and for the past 8 Years I
have worked exclusively in taiwan and mainland china.
ab: yay! a pioneer! we need this!
3. KH.... Out of this [work in China] comes a TSM recovery center for PTSD that will grow
as a partnership between my own business, several universities in the affected areas n the
support of a military medical university. I hope it will be both financially and healing
successful.
AB: I am hoping that we can also start building links and diversifying the
training between the largest and fastest growing country in the world (i.e., China) and
the rest of the international psychodrama community. Names of colleagues who can read and
communicate via email will be appreciated. (Hope you're telling them to download and
translate whatever they find useful on my website.)
Thanks again for what you're doing, bright light! Might we possibly meet in St.
Louis? Tele, Adam
