psychodrama training and week of culture in Germany, end of august 2008

Dear friends and colleagues,

Below please find information about psychodrama trainings in Wangen,  
Germany, at the end of August. My home town will organize an entire  
week of culture which we are part of, so you will have many  
opportunities for a great vacation, and you can also come with other  
people who have different interests. There are two trainings, one for  
beginners and one for people with previous experience; and certainly  
anybody can come to both. Please forward the information to  
interested people and let me know if you have questions or want  
trainings in other cities.
The trainings should count towards psychodrama or drama therapy  
certification, please confirm with your primary trainer.

I also want to let you know that finally my dissertation "The Theatre

for my name and/or the title. And please write some review if you  
like it. (If you don't like it, its enough to write to me on how to

In addition to psychodrama, there are master classes in music (piano,  
violin, trumpet, classical guitar, accordion), ballet, oil painting,  
calligraphy, folk dancing from many countries.

Thursday August 28, 20:00, performance where participants of master  
classes present their work.

Friday, August 29, 20:00 folkdance festival, with groups from  
Mallorca, Greece, Tajikistan, Russia, Portugal, Germany, Croatia,  
Togo/Africa, 12 euro.

Saturday, August 30, all day excursion to lakes and mountains with  
participants of culture week. 25 euro.

Every evening open café for international encounter. Every day  
exhibitions.

Most evenings are concerts and performances.

Train or bus transfer from airport Munich or Stuttgart 3 to 4 hrs, so  
try to arrive not too late in day, and leave not too early, we can  
try to have someone meet you at airport. People arriving in  
Friedrichshafen need to drive only 30 minutes, about 50 euros by taxi  
or we can meet you.

Wangen www.wangen.de :

Small old town, more than 1000 years old, well preserved old city  
center, very clean, many nice stores for shopping. Psychodrama  
trainings will take place in one of the oldest buildings that is well  
restored.

Everything within 10 minutes walking: hostel, our training room,  
several hotels, many restaurants [German, Italian, Greek, Indian,  
Chinese], shopping [food, fashion clothes, souvenirs], fitness-center  
with sauna. Most people working in stores etc. speak English.

Within 20 minutes walking:  indoor and outdoor swimming, hiking in  
nature, bicycling (bikes may be rented).

20 minutes drive to beautiful big lake “Bodensee”, between Germany,  
Austria, and Switzerland. About one hour to drive to alps.

Translation can be provided for trainings and usually excursions too  
[previously we had English and Russian, please let us know what you  
need]. Transportation by minibus as needed. Childcare can be arranged  
upon request.

Hostel has kitchen, so people can decide whether to go to restaurants  
for meals, or to shop and cook. Many restaurants and stores nearby.  
Cost without food:  12 euros per night for place in 4 person room. 16  
euros in 2 person room. This hostel is not available to the general  
public, only for special guests of the city government (which our  
institute is part of). Very clean – this is Germany!

There are many other hotels nearby, cost 50 to 100 euros per night  
depending on level of comfort. Here is website of hotel very close to

US citizens do not need visa for stay in EU up to 90 days; Russians  
usually do need visa. For other countries check with German  
consulate. If you need visa, you should start the process early. For  
the visa invitation we need: last name, first name, gender,  
citizenship, date of birth, city of birth, number of passport, date  
of issue and date of expiration. Please list together on one paper  
[you can email that to me]. You will receive an invitation for  
cultural exchange, and you obtain visa from German consulate.  
[Usually there is no fee for this kind of visa; of course you can  
also come with a tourist visa, may be from a travel agency.] You will  
receive Schengen visa valid in European Union, so we can visit  
Austria, just 30 minutes drive from Wangen. For visa required, and  
also highly recommended, is travel health insurance, for example from  
Startravel, only 10 or 20 $ for a week.

Visit Meersburg at Bodensee with castle www.meersburg.com

Then go to Meersburg Therme mineral bath with sauna near lake. This  
has many kinds of saunas, hot mineral pools, and is right near lake  
with spectacular views of lake and alps.

Visit mountains with cable car starting at lake http:// 
www.pfaender.at. There are spectacular views of lake, restaurant,  
mountain animal zoo etc.

In evening may visit another aquapark in mountains http:// 
www.aquaria.de. This is only 30 minutes drive, so we can even go  
there after training.
