To members of the psychodrama community:

Several members of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the ASGPP attended
NIH's showing of "Canvass" this past week. It is a very powerful and
moving film that helped us to see from the point of view of a ten year-
old how his Mother's schizophrenia impacted their family. Afterwards,
we had a chance to share our thoughts and feelings about the film over
a snack in the new Silver Spring restaurant row.

NIH's film series continues at the American Film Institute's Silver
Screen in Silver Spring. On August 13, NIH will be showing "Reign
Over Me," a film that explores PTSD after the attacks on the World
Trade Center. After the film, the guest speaker will be Meena
Vythilingam, M.D., Staff Physician, Mood and Anxiety Program, National
Institute of Mental Health, National Institutes of Health. The link
for the NIH web site with a description of the program is below:

If you are interested in attending and you want JoAnn Thacker to
obtain tickets ahead of time -- these films sometimes close out --
