Members Digest, Vol 50, Issue 22 Elders

I guess I could qualify as an elder. I'll be in Dallas. My own direction
is away a bit from psychodrama as therapy for the sick, and more as a
method, mixed with other Morenian efforts, to meet the future.
There's his "spirituality"--- such as it is---which transcends either
traditional religion or modern science, and is rooted less in the
way-beyond-transcend-ent realm and more in how people can transcend their
own boundaries
And the way many of Moreno's inventions serve ths goal.

I'm finished with "therapy," though it is a respected root form; but
more, now,I want to help redeem Moreno's contributions beyond any
"treatment" for people in the "sick role" Sociodrama, bibliodrama,
applied sociometry--- these are ideas that intrigue me now. Especially
Moreno's philosophy I don't need to agree with every detail, but I want
to understand his vision better.

Warmly, Adam Blatner
