Scholarships Available to the 

2018 ASGPP Conference 

Deadline to submit: February 1, 2018     




The Executive Council and Scholarship Committee of the ASGPP are pleased to announce that in addition to our traditional partial scholarships, we offer the Zerka T. Moreno Memorial Scholarship and are introducing the newly established History Keeper Scholarship. This year, we are implementing a lottery system.


The Zerka T. Moreno Scholarship is supported by the Zerka T. Moreno Memorial Fund. We are pleased to offer two full four day scholarships to our 75th Annual Conference. To be eligible to enter the lottery, you must be: 

1. A first time annual meeting attender, AND
2. A non-USA citizen, AND
3. A person who resides outside of the USA

History Keeper Scholarship.We are pleased to offer two Full Conference (Friday-Sunday workshops) waivers to long time, committed members who have given of themselves to the ASGPP. To be considered for the waiver, you must meet three criteria: 

1. Long-time, continuous ASGPP membership, AND
2. Have given to the organization in a significant way (Executive Council, committee leadership, frequent ASGPP conference presenter) AND
3. without the waiver, you could not attend the conference due to financial hardship.

Those that meet the three criteria will be entered into a lottery, and two will be chosen at random. If you do not receive the waiver, you will be entered into our traditional scholarship pool, which is also awarded by lottery.

Our traditional partial scholarship recipients will be selected by lottery as well. Those applicants meeting one of the following will be entered into the lottery:

1.  ASGPP member needing financial assistance, OR
2.  ASGPP member who is a first time conference attendee in need of financial assistance, OR
3.  Any first time attendee regardless of ASGPP affiliation in need of financial assistance

Those that meet one of the above criteria will be added to a data base and then randomly selected to receive a $300 scholarship.

Other applications not meeting the above criteria may still receive an award. They will be evaluated provided there are remaining funds.  

The scholarship committee will be meeting after the February 1st deadline and will notify this year's recipients by February 12, 2018.  

We are asking scholarship recipients to assist us at the conference by volunteering as a Session Assistant or in some other volunteer capacity. Further information will be provided.
