<DIV><STRONG><FONT face=Arial size=2>Dear Linda,</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT face=Arial size=2>Clearly there are many of us who prefer the
grouptalk format to the forum on the ASGPP website and I have worried about the
loss of communication. I very much appreciate your bringing our thoughts and
ideas to the council. I also want you to let them know that I (and hopefully
others) am very willing to begin work now to develop a PR plan that will bring
more people to the Philadelphia conference than we have had in the past few
years. It would be helpful if there was one person on the council or on the
conference committee who could be the PR liaison.</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT></STRONG> </DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT face=Arial size=2>While I appreciate the work of each
conference committee, one of my concerns for a long time has been that there is
often not a whole lot of continuity year to year. For example, there was no
processing room this past year...something in the past that had been clearly
decided was very important. I don't know if this was discussed, but if it had
been discussed with people who were involved with past conferences the 2009
conference committee would have been given information about how important a
processing room has been in other years. That sort of
thing....</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT></STRONG> </DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT face=Arial size=2>My wish would be for someone on the
executive council to be that liaison for several years so there is some
continuity. Or perhaps a member of the society would be willing to take that
role on...</FONT></STRONG></DIV>

respect,</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
